Brazil´s stock market has experienced in February what in these days of crisis could be considered a rally. The Bovespa index rose 3% in the first seven working days of the month. The move was fueled by a perception that commodity prices tend to recover, which pushed Vale, for instance, up 14% in the same period. Since the gloomy days of October, when the Bovespa index dipped below the 30,000-points threshold, the Brazilian stock market has surged 45%.
